I don't post here very frequently, and only recently I started posting photos (I still haven't learnt to focus decently with the digital camera. It was free, so it's not so good, but I'm not complaining), but I keep knitting. So, besides the surprise scarf for my mother, which demands some attention to the lace pattern, I have been knitting on an easier scarf, with an interesting variation of the simple garter. Of course I finished first the easier one. I'm going to give it to my brother (so he won't become jealous of my mother ;-) ) and some friends who already saw it loved it :D. So, here is the info and photos:
Pattern: Multidirectional diagonal scarf.
Yarn: handpaintedyarn merino 6-ply, 2 skeins (almost completely), colour "Alpine Pearl". Very soft, but less blue than in the photos of the site. More of a grey-violet to petrol-blue variegation. It's handpainted, so colour varies a lot, and it's very hard to portray them well in a photo. My photos cannot show the true colours and their variations as well...
Needle size: 6 mm. They suggested 8 mm, and I believe it will work, but I wanted a thicker fabric.

As fotos/ The photos:

1) Todo o comprimento e o restinho da lã. / The whole scarf and a rest of yarn.

The scarf folded in half: this photo shows better the texture and the colour.

3) A foto tonta: o cachecol sobre a secretária desarrumada. / The silly photo: the scarf on my messy desk.
