1) Trazer sempre os óculos de sol e uma lanterna na carteira./Always carry my sunglasses and a lantern in my handbag.

2) Comer o branco das laranjas (a parte de dentro das cascas); comer as rodelas de limão (só a "carne"!) que acompanham um prato./Eat the white of orange oranges; eat the lemon slices (just its "meat") that come with some meat or fish dishes.

3) Cantar músicas corais (a voz de contralto, que é a minha) enquanto aspiro. E, se não estiver mais ninguém em casa, enquanto passo a ferro./Sing choral music (the alto part, which is my voice) while I vacuum. And, if I'm alone at home, while I iron, also.

4) Dizer para mim mesma o que vou fazendo, em voz baixa mas audível. Nunca tinha dado conta até há um ano. Só me apercebi disto quando uma amiga me chamou a atenção de que o fazia ("Agora arrumar as coisas", "Agora pôr o cinto de segurança"). Tenho moderado este hábito.../Repeat to myself what I am doing, in a low but audible voice. I never had noticed I did that until a friend told me, last year. ("Now I will put my things in order". "Now, put my seat belt"). I am moderating this habit, now...

5) Tomar banho de touca no cabelo, para depois lavar o cabelo em separado (obviamente quando fiz natação tomava banho e lavava o cabelo ao mesmo tempo, mas prefiro fazer em dois passos)./Shower with a cap in my hair, and then wash my hair separately (of course, when I was learning how to swim I showered and washed my hair at the same time, but I prefer to do it separately).
